Worship & The Word

Welcome to MCA Online

MCA is home to over 1500 people from 45 different nations. We gather every Sunday at 9:00am & 11:30am (new service time) for Praise & Worship, followed by a time of prayer & preaching of the Word. After each service, we have refreshments in the gym. We also have mid-week activities, including after-school programs, family night and sports. MCA is a great place to Believe, to Belong & to Be Loved! Why not bring a friend?

A Message From The Pastor

MAY THEME: Be Daring

Do you ever feel like a benchwarmer in your life with Christ, risking little while others seem to be risking everything? If so, watch from the sidelines no longer. Get ready to put your faith where the action is! The early church experienced miracles, witnessed signs and wonders and were part of amazing growth as thousands were added to their numbers. Read through the Book of Acts; it will leave you breathless and inspire you to step out in faith!

Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday. Fifty days after Jesus’ Resurrection, the promised Holy Spirit came and baptized all who were praying in the Upper Room. Men and women stepped out of that prayer meeting emboldened and empowered to change their world. And you and I today are still recipients of Holy Spirit’s power in our lives. Or at least we should be.

When Paul arrived in Ephesus, he met twelve men who professed to be Christians, but whose actions betrayed them. He asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit since you believed?” We believe that Paul’s question was referring to the baptism of Holy Spirit for power in ministry; the same as what happened at Pentecost. The men responded that they had not heard of this baptism. When Paul placed his hands upon them, Holy Spirit came on them; they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

As Christians we all need to be empowered to live out our lives for Christ. We need to be daring; bold; brave; audacious and full of zeal as we witness to our families and friends. We need to be, like the men and women in the Book of Acts, FULL of Holy Spirit!

God is ready to pour out His Spirit on all flesh. Are you ready to receive?

Blessings,

Rev. Ginette Howse
